02-NOV-2008, 04:50 AM Aah, finally we're above 1750m above sea level and completely exhausted. We rested for an hour and the wind was freezing cold and there were no clouds. So,we've waited for the sun to rise, but since it was sunday,Sun took his own time to show us his rays. The scene of rising sun was awesome and i am able to click some nice snaps02-NOV-2008, 07:30 AM While climbing down we're able to see the path that took us to the top.We got a complete picture of the terrain and we reached foot of the hill at 9:00am and relaxed for 1/2 hour, had some tender coconuts and return trip started @ 9:30am

02-NOV-2008, 11:30 AM Driven safely to the home and it was a nice trekking trip. This place will be very good only in winter seasons where you can see the entire cluster of clouds. It's good but a little bit risky trekking place.

H.A.L Museum

7th June,2008 -Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Bangalore

Located between H.A.L Airport(old) and Marathahalli Junction.15 kms from BTM Layout. You can take any of these routes,

Silk Board - Sarjapur Ring Road - Marathahalli Junction - HAL Museum

or

Dairy Circle - Museum Road - Mayo Hall (Bangalore Central) - Domlur - Airport - HAL Museum.

One fine afternoon we started to this place (Prakash,Gomathi and Viji). They're charging Rs.20 per head for entrance and an additional Rs.25 for cameras. It is really worth to watch the place with helicopters and Missiles(Prototypes).Nice weather, good ambience and cool breeze adds beauty to this place.

They had 'Flight Simulator' games, toys and miniatures in the first floor of the main building for kids.Historical moments are captured and displayed in the center hall of the main building. There is also a small canteen operated for visitors.

Viji took some nice snaps of the flowers and i think she had a lot of interest in photography.we spent 2 hrs in the museum, chatting and remembering those good old college moments and we had totally a nice time in the Museum.

Especially kids will enjoy this place a lot and for us, it is to remember the history of Indian Aviation Industry.

Gardening around this place was awesome.Radars and War birds are displayed with information board explaining the in depth detail of its architecture.

Trip to Innovative Filmcity

Hi back again,

This time we planned to go for the new BAIL(Bangalore Airport international Limited) located at Devanahalli. But our plans got changed to go for Innovative Film city located on the Bangalore - Mysore Highway.

This is my first ride, out of bangalore,in my bike.I started when my ODO reads 233kms.My friends Prakash(XCD 125) with Sundar,Balu(Apache RTR) with Somu and myself(Flame) with Arjun started our trip around 11am from my house. We took the kanakapura main road and changed to NICE(Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprises) road and then joined the Mysore road.In the Mysore road, once we crossed the Toyota Plant, we took a left to Bidadi industrial Estate where this innovative Film city is located.

Still the constructions are going on and you could witness a sign board saying(We are open on Trial Run). The entry fee was Rs.50 and the charges for other places such as(Ripley's Believe it or not,Funplex,Cartoon City,Aqua & Velocity..etc)was Rs.150.

We tried the Aqua,it is 5 feet artificial beach with waves coming for 7Min at an interval of 40min.We played Volleyball and had a nice time there. The film city is also featuring a Food Court. You can feel like being in a Rome Street when you go through the Film City Entrance and buildings

This place is just starting up and will take some time for the completion. Not much sign boards are there in the way to the film city when you come from bangalore.

There are lot of petrol pump stations on the Bangalore - Mysore highway. So no need to worry about petrol.Came back to house @ 6:45pm and my ODO showed 323kms.Huh, i had travelled 90 kms in a day @ a speed of 40km/hr.

Distance:

45 Kms from BTM Layout

12 Kms from Wonder La.

Planned to go again when the film city is fully completed.

Trip to Muthyala Madhuvu

Near to Anekal

36 kms from BTM Layout

The place will be very good only during rainy seasons

BTM Layout > Bannerghatta > Jigani > Anekal > Muthyala Madhuvu.

Trees are on both the sides of the road and covers the entire road with its shadow. You feel like being in the middle of soft breeze.Once you reach this place, park your vehicles at the top and foot steps are there which takes you to the bottom of the mountain. There is an small river between the mountains and shiva temple along the river side.

No food & snacks are available at this place, better to buy them at Anekal itself. When you're coming from bangalore, once you reach near Anekal,@ the entrance of anekal you could see a V-Shape road and take the right side road which will take you to the anekal market. From there it's hardly 2 kms to the branch road of "Muthyala Madhuvu",There is no sign saying route to this place.Better to ask the people on the way.

Enjoyed this place a lot with my friends : Prakash(XCD125),Balu(Apache RTR),Mahesh (Pulsar) and Kannan.Really had a nice time out there.
